LONDON (Reuters) - Three people have been charged with racially aggravated public order offences after a group heading to a far-right British National Party camp on Saturday taunted anti-racism protesters, police said.
Derbyshire police arrested 19 people during the mainly peaceful anti-BNP rally near a farm outside the village of Codnor where the BNP's Red, White and Blue festival was held over the weekend.
The three were among a group who crossed fields to get to the camp on foot under police escort as hundreds of demonstrators waving placards saying "the BNP is a Nazi party" blocked road access to the site.
The BNP, which campaigns to halt immigration and repatriate immigrants voluntarily, won its first two seats in the European Parliament in June.
Although it has no representatives in the British parliament, the party has won support from white voters angry about unemployment and access to public housing and other services during the worst recession in generations.

BNP festival roundup
On Saturday 15th August the BNP held its annual political intoctrination event, the Red White and BLue. They claim that this is a family fun festival, but pictures and news of events from inside show that it is anything but.

They don't seem to hide their real side very well do they?
Inside, reporters were accompanied andrestricted in their movements by totalitarian security guards dressed in black boots, who aped the style of Chinese guides. Channel 4s reporter was forced to stop filming the activities of festival goers and then escorted from the site by Griffin's bodyguard. (See the linked video from 9:40 for the report.)
Earlier friend of the BNP and key ally, American White Supremicist, Preston Wiginton, banned from entering the country because of incitement to racial hatred. This did not prevent the BNP from co
ntinuing their racist activities.
The Daily Mail reported how one stall consisted of a Barack Obama effigy placed in stocks whilst punters through objects at him.
This begs the question of whether their opposition is because the president of the USA is black, or because of the BNP opposition to universal health care free at the point of contact, which the President is attempting to introduce in America.
As the video below shows, the festival was openly stewarded by the BNPs sister group of violent thugs, Combat 18.
Italian Neo-Fascist, and close associate of Nick Griffin and the BNP hierarchy, Robert Fiore attended the event.
Over 1500 protesters from all over the country made their prescence felt and blocked many BNP members from attending this neo-Nazi get together. 19 of these were arrested for offences which are thought to be moving outside the protest area, allocated by the police, and for sitting down on roads. Earlier in the day one of the UAF coaches had been attacked and its windows were smashed by violent supporters of the BNP.

BNP Festival attracts international fascists and white supremacists
An American white supremacist has been stopped from entering Britain to attend a British National party festival this weekend.
Preston Wiginton was turned back at Heathrow when he arrived for the party's Red, White and Blue festival in Codnor, Derbyshire, which started today.
A spokesman for the UK Border Agency said Wiginton was sent back to New York because it was believed his presence in the UK could stir up racial tension. He said he could not confirm reports that Wiginton, who has links with the BNP leader, Nick Griffin, was due to speak at the festival.
A Home Office spokesman said: "The government opposes extremism in all its forms and we will prevent those who want to spread extremism, hatred and violent messages in our communities from coming to our country."
The BNP today denied reports that Wiginton was due to speak at the festival. Simon Darby, the party's deputy leader, said: "I know Preston, he is an American chap. He came to last year's Red, White and Blue and was coming to this year's but they wouldn't let him in for some reason. He wasn't coming to speak."
The festival runs until tomorrow Sunday. Last year's event sparked violent scenes, with 30 anti-BNP protesters arrested. A high-profile policing operation has been put in place by Derbyshire police for this year's rally amid fears of more clashes.
Unite Against Fascism plans to protest against the festival today & tomorrow, with supporters coming from across the country to take part in an organised march.
UAF published an open letter on its website condemning the event, saying BNP claims that it was a "patriotic family festival" were untrue and that last year's guests included a Czech neo-Nazi and a Swedish fascist.

Merseyside BNP Against Local Workers
In September the TUC will hold its annual conference in Liverpool for the first time in over 100 years. In a provocative and confrontational move which echo's the USA's Westboro Baptist Church, the local BNP have declared that they will hold protests outside the event and against Trade Unions.
How Ironic that the party which declares itself to be the only representatives of the White Working Class chooses to demonstrate against Working Class representation. Their article goes on to label all trade unionists as Stalinist Communists and all parties which are not BNP are apparently tarred by the same brush. The local party, in dogmatically sticking with the centrally ordered tactic of labelling all opponents as Communists, have clearly shown that they do not have a clear grasp of the wide range of opposition to them and their ideas, both in Merseyside and nationally.
Their article ends with the phrase. ‘Communists are not wanted in Liverpool and neither is their message of hate!’ Whilst we have already shown that the BNP label all their opposition as Communist it is clear that the messages emanating from the conference will be of universal equality and improved workers rights. Specifically the agenda will focus on increased public spending, greater regulation of the economy, increasing the minimum wage and affordable housing for all. The BNP are opposed to these quality of life raising aims and the social mobility and justice which go along with them. It is not surprising that the party, which has a history of opposing the interests of the British public, should engage in an attack on the very institutions which seek to promote change and equality.

The BNP, in common with all fascist organisations, seek to impose a system in which workers are told what to do by their leadership in conjunction with the employers. In both Fascist Italy and Nazi Germany Trade Unions were banned and government and owners of industry controlled the workers, the BNP have always followed their ideological founders by attacking trade unions. They have continually campaigned against this vestige of working class representation and defender of workers’ rights. On the local BNP blog a campaign has been run against local trade unionists, which is especially ironic considering the long history of trade unionism on Merseyside which has won many victories and fought campaigns for the people. The local BNP branch has long shown that they are opposed to the rights of workers and this action confirms it.
The Trade Union Congress takes place in Liverpool from 14th – 17th September 2009 and will be proceeded by a ‘Time to Fight Back’ March on 13th September. Assemble Pier Head 12:30pm.

Demonstrate against Fascist violence in Merseyside - September 3rd
On the 3rd September Local BNP activist, Peter Tierney, is due to appear in court having been charged with assaulting an anti-fascist on 23rd April 2009. MCARF calls upon all local anti-fascists to protest against fascist violence in Liverpool, outside the Magistrate Courts, Dale St @ 8:30am.
It is vital that the people of Liverpool show a united front in the face of increased violence from the fascists of the BNP. They might have managed to keep their real face hidden during the European Election campaign but recent events in several cities, most recently Birmingham, have shown BNP members at the forefront of racist violence. Please arrive in good time and bring banners, friends and your voices with you. Let's say no to fascist violence in Liverpool.
